Kelly had a busy week in Hong Kong last week!
The British Consulate-General in Hong Kong launched the international GREAT Britain campaign with an exclusive event to showcase the UK’s creativity, innovation and technology talent. Last Tuesday Kelly arrived in Hong Kong to attend this event as an ambassador for the GREAT Britain Campaign, which is designed to promote the UK abroad, aiming to deliver long-term economic benefits from the unprecedented level of interest generated by the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games.
As an ambassador, Kelly’s role is to promote the UK abroad as an ideal place to live, work and do business. Here are some exclusive pictures taken on a ferry in the famous Victoria Harbour in Hong Kong, together with British Consul-General Andrew Seaton, fashion designer Julien Macdonald OBE, Head Chef of Trinity restaurant Adam Byatt and gallery owner Michael Hoppen.
Afterwards Kelly went to the campaign launch event, which you can see on Youtube where Consul-General Andrew Seaton and all the UK ambassadors for creativity share with us what GREAT Britain means to them.
At the same time Kelly’s collection from Indigo Living showcased at the Great Campaign VIP Room.
Kelly also had an interview with Bernie Lo from CNBC HK to share her passion about being an ambassador for the GREAT Campaign. Here are some more casual pictures during Kelly’s trip in Hong Kong.
And here’s a video of Kelly giving a speech at the gala event.
Kelly in HK for GREAT Britain Campaign
Thanks for the support of British Airways, who is also one of the official sponsors of the gala event , Kelly had a pleasant journey flying to Hong Kong. 2012 is a GREAT year to raise international awareness of the multi-faceted appeal of the UK, with both the London 2012 Olympic Games and the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee taking place this year.
Also, as the latest entrepreneur who agreed to work with UK Trade & Investment (UKTI) to promote UK excellence internationally, Kelly’s recent master class with UKTI has received incredible feedback. We do see a GREAT and exciting year for Kelly in 2012, and let’s all give our best wishes to GREAT Britain!
